Oppression is a daily reality for millions of people in the world. Modern-day slaves work making bricks 16 hours a day, seven days a week. Women and children are forced into prostitution and must provide sex to multiple customers a day. Prisoners are held illegally and indefinitely, with no trial and no representation. Oppression can succeed because it takes advantage of the most vulnerable in the world, those who have no one to stand with them or for them.

This is where you come in.

You can stand in solidarity with and help bring rescue to victims of oppression.

As students, you have the strength to be agents of change. There is power in unity and in numbers.

By joining, you can help bring rescue to people suffering around the world. It will not happen overnight. The fight against oppression is a hard road and requires a long term commitment to pursuing justice. But it CAN happen.

God promises that He will rescue the oppressed and answer our prayers for justice. Jesus says, "Will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night? Will He keep putting them off? I tell you, He will see that they get justice and get it quickly." (Luke 18:7-8)

God hears the cries of the victims of oppression every day. Our RELENTLESS fight against oppression is not done alone. The battle is God's and He will see that justice is done.

Join today and become part of the fight to end oppression.

International Justice Mission is a human rights organization that rescues victims of violence, sexual exploitation, slavery and oppression. IJM documents and monitors conditions of abuse and oppression, educates the church and public about the abuses and mobilizes intervention on behalf of victims.

IJM has a four-fold purpose:

  • Victim relief – Relieve the victim of the abuse currently being committed.
  • Victim aftercare – Provide access to services that help victims transition into their new lives and encourage long-term success.
  • Perpetrator accountability – Bring accountability and just consequences under the law to the specific perpetrator(s) of abuse.
  • Structural prevention – Prevent the abuse from being committed against others who are also at risk.
