JANUARY 2008

Thank You!
In 2007, students donated over $275,000! Because of you, IJM is able to rescue more victims of violent abuse and oppression.

Tell Us What you Did
IJM wants to hear from you. Tell us what you’ve done to stand up for the oppressed.

You can do this in three ways:
• Send an email telling us your story;
• Send us pictures of you, your friends, your school, your youth group, or whoever else you’ve partnered with doing something to end oppression; or
• Make a video and post it to YouTube telling or showing how you’ve stood up for the oppressed.

Send your story, pictures or links to videos to relentless@ijm.org. We will post your submissions on the IJM web site.

SEPTEMBER 2007

TAKE ACTION FOR BURMA
IJM calls upon the United States Government and its allies around the world to take concerted action to save the Burmese democracy movement, the Buddhist monks, and the students from annihilation at the hands of the military dictatorship. IJM takes this position informed by its commitment to the abolition of modern-day slavery, and its concerns about the regime's well-documented record of forced labor, torture and mass rape.

+ WHAT YOU CAN DO

AUGUST 2007

Justice in Action
Read this recent story about IJM’s aftercare efforts. For victims of oppression, the problems do not end when the chains are broken. IJM aftercare providers and social workers help provide the healing and support clients need during their journey to recovery. Support IJM’s aftercare efforts by paying for a day of social work.
