Most people don’t take action against oppression because they simply don’t know about the problem or what they can do about it. If you e-mail five friends and they e-mail five other friends, and the chain keeps going, before long thousands will know that they can do something to help rescue the oppressed. Help build the Relentless movement.

In order to effectively communicate about injustice, you need to be educated about the problem and ways that it can be solved.

The Problem

In 2004 there are more slaves than were seized from Africa during four centuries of trans-Atlantic slave trade. (Kevin Bales, Disposable People).

Of the 600,000 - 800,000 people trafficked across international borders every year, 80 percent are female, and 70 percent of these women and girls are trafficked for sexual exploitation. (U.S. State Department)

According to the Bureau of Justice Statistics, only 16.3 percent of reported rape cases result in the rapist's imprisonment (RAINN)

Campus Chapters are groups of students passionate about justice that work together to partner with IJM in three ways:

Raise their voices in prayer on behalf of victims of abuse and oppression;

Raise awareness on their campus and in the community about the reality of injustice in our world; and

Raise funds to help IJM be able to rescue more victims of injustice.

All of this is done so that as students become more engaged in the issue, God will work in their hearts to help them better understand His calling on their lives to seek justice for the oppressed. E-mail chapters@ijm.org for more info.
